Did you know: Forty-six kids are diagnosed with cancer every school day, and less than 4% of cancer funding from the government goes to childhood cancer research.
According to the CURE website, the cause of most childhood cancers are unknown and on the rise: up 24% over the last 40 years.
It’s time to put a stop to this: let’s help find better treatments with fewer long-term side effects and, ultimately, a cure for childhood cancers!
I think it’s safe to say we all know of or have heard of someone in our community, neighborhood or circle of friends who have gone through the terrible ordeal of childhood cancer.
For those experiencing this excruciating time in their lives, how can those of us on the outside help? Sending food, visiting, and prayers are always good, but if not very close to, or know those families in person, this is another option to help.
